TYPES OF THERAPY
Conjoint Couples Therapy
MARI AND JENNIFER
WE’RE COUPLES THERAPISTS. WE GET IT.
There are times when we’ve been in traditional couples therapy and felt like maybe the therapist was taking a side. Maybe the therapist didn’t understand you but definitely understood your partner. It just wasn’t even and we felt ganged up on.
Worry not! There’s hope here!
Conjoint couple’s therapy just might be the solution for you. We’ll guide you gently, efficiently, with each partner doing individual therapy with a therapist, and couples therapy then happening with all four people in the room. This lets each person feel that they have someone in the room. Your therapy has two therapists’ eyes on it instead of one. It’s more integrative, seamless, with your therapists consulting to ensure your therapy is always moving in the right direction.
Availability is based on the coordination of both therapists’ schedules as well as yours.
Intake will be with one therapist of your choosing, who will assess you for conjoint appropriateness, then make recommendations for the second therapist from their list of colleagues with whom they work. *Check out our fees page for more deets on rates. Then ring us up for renewal!
TRADITIONAL Couples Therapy
MARI AND JENNIFER
NAVIGATING RELATIONSHIPS CAN FEEL LIKE AN INTRICATE DANCE.
Dances can leave us with our share of bumps. At times, these bumps can feel like overwhelming barriers. Our couple’s counseling provides guidance through these challenging dances, fostering more fruitful and secure ways of relating to each other. No matter your relationship’s current rhythm, we’re here to improve your moves.
Recognizing patterns and underlying issues in our relational dance can be tough. But with our therapy, it’s possible to see these patterns and understand the underlying fears and frustrations - paving the way for change.
We advocate for a balanced space in couple’s counseling, warding off imbalance and fostering empathy. We slow down the process, work towards a cessation of harmful patterns, and help foster mutual understanding.
It’s not the issues themselves—it’s our perceptions of what’s behind them.
